The Steel Bar: Pittsburgh Lawyers Forging America from the Frontier to the Future

2012 Pitt Law Review Symposium
March 28, 2012
The University Club

123 University Place

Pittsburgh, PA, 15213

The Steel Bar: Pittsburgh Lawyers Forging America from the Frontier to the Futurewill address the history of lawyering in Pittsburgh and surrounding area from colonial times to the present, highlighting the multiple roles Pittsburgh lawyers have played in the shaping of American law and society. It presents a unique opportunity for local and national scholars and legal professionals to assess the largely unexplored and underappreciated role of a major legal community in the American heartland to larger regional and national trends over a span of more than two centuries.

The event itself, without CLE Credit, is free.  CLE, it’s worth five hours over two sessions – 2.5 hours in the morning and 2.5 for the afternoon, 5 total.  The charge is $25 per party per session (morning session and afternoon session), for a total program fee of $50, for all parties seeking CLE credits.

The fee for lunch will be $10 (Ed: and it’s provided by the University Club, which I think is fancy, right?).  Make checks payable to the University of Pittsburgh.

(Text is totally copied from Pitt’s description because it is late and that’s how I roll.)
