  • Fans of real-life courtroom drama should note that Jerry Sandusky’s hearing next week — at which 8 of his alleged victims will testify — will not be televised.  Pennsylvania bars television and radio broadcasts from its courtrooms.  “I would categorize Pennsylvania among the lower tier of states in terms of court access,” Kathleen Kirby, counsel to the national Radio, Television and Digital News Association, told the Trib. Personally, I think that while public access to courts is very super important, it’s reasonable to limit broadcast of testimony by alleged sex crime — especially child abuse — victims.  [Trib]
