Choice Counsel is hiring again, and apparently it’s urgent enough that Dave Gaborek is sending emails and posting ads on Saturday night. Check out the Craigslist ad here.

If Choice is so desperate, I am curious as to why they called me for the first time last Wednesday (I sent in a resume 12/28) and just cancelled my interview on Tuesday morning because they need all hands on deck for an urgent project. When I mentioned this ad, Ms. Scott countered with “Wheeling?” Perhaps they loathe my last doc review employer? I’m just wondering if any fellow readers have information about this.

Either that or they submitted your resume and you weren’t chosen by the client? The Wheeling listing was DiCenzo, not Choice. I think the Choice listing was for a project in downtown Pittsburgh.

Right, the Choice listing is for downtown, but Klay Scott said that the downtown project “is not a confirmed thing yet” when I asked about the position and inquired if I would work in Wheeling. Also,in theory, Choice would not have submitted my resume to the client because they need to put me in the system”, and “verify my credentials” which involves filling out a 20 page application. The application is expected, the part where I can’t turn it in until the interview that they cancelled but did not reschedule isn’t.
Of course, maybe they did go ahead and submit my resume to the downtown project and I wasn’t chosen, but they just didn’t go ahead and say so to me. That is actually more comforting to me than an alternative theory of disorganization where neither employees nor clients are benefiting from the supposed efficiency and benefits of the doc review system.
