- Remember Grant Wilson, the Pittsburgh whistleblower who helped government lawyers build a fraud case against BNY Mellon? Yesterday, the the Wall Street Journal got ahold of documents leaked by Wilson. There’s an employee nicknamed Rambo (one of those macho macho bankers, I guess) who repeatedly urges people not to disclose how much money they make on currency trades; an internal memo says that amount was 10 to 20 percent more than they would have made on a negotiated basis. When learning that feds might investigate BNY’s currency trades, another employee exclaims: “It’s over, it’s all over!” [Trib] [WSJ which requires a subscription]; [Telegraph].
